ALsistem’s Circular Innovation
Reuse, repurpose, recycle — this is the mantra of the Circular Economy, which must inspire the daily actions of businesses and shape how we design new products.
Aluminum is an extraordinary material: not only does it offer endless uses and applications, but it is also infinitely recyclable without losing its technical and mechanical properties, cycle after cycle. A true resource — each ton of recycled aluminum can reduce CO₂ emissions by over 90%. No other material used in the window and door industry today offers such outstanding environmental credentials.
ALsistem’s window and door systems are now made with up to 85% recycled aluminum, sourced from responsible processes and billets with environmental qualities certified by major international institutes. The Circular Economy is at the core of ALsistem’s industrial plan, aimed at strengthening and evolving its production processes.
Planet Circular® is the latest addition to the ALsistem range. It is the result of meticulous work that has analyzed and optimized every component of the window system. Each element has been tracked, with its CO₂ reduction contribution measured, and its post-use destination identified — ready to re-enter a new production cycle. Planet Circular® is made with Neociclato® extruded aluminum, features VOC-free certified coating (essential for PNRR tenders), and incorporates high-performance thermal breaks made from 100% recycled polymers, or bio-attributed/circular materials with ISCC+ certification. The EPDM gaskets are produced using devulcanization processes and contain an unprecedented share of recycled material.
This unique product, assembled according to circular principles, serves as a benchmark in the industry for high-performance technical and aesthetic systems. It also qualifies for significant advantages in public procurement tenders and contributes toward major international certifications such as BREEAM, LEED, and WELL.
Planet Circular® will be the first system of its kind to be equipped with a Product Passport — a new identity document that will soon become essential under the EU’s evolving economic framework. Alongside the End-of-Life Certificate, it will detail the origin, lifecycle, and disposal process of Planet Circular®, setting a new standard for sustainable innovation in the building sector.
